I’ve even defended supposed bullies when too many people gang up on them.

I do the same. I don’t like when people gang up on another. I can even feel the “pull” when I find myself agreeing with a majority against another and I have to force myself to “rip away” from the majority to stand behind someone whose opinion is opposing, even if I disagree with them.

“He bullied me” is all someone has to say, and everybody gangs up on them. You see this online a lot. Did bullying happen? Maybe it did and it’s wrong. But the vengence of trying to obliterate another human being turns the victim into bullies and *that’s* a side of anti-bullying programs I don’t agree with.

Justice needs to be served when a wrong is committed but not a tar-and-feathering, or villagers with pitchforks and torches. Compassion for all _is_ the answer while also serving out justice for crimes committed.
