It’s one of those hacker’s dreams; good in theory but hard to put into practice. Stories abounded long ago I remember of “the one guy” whose hearing and analysis were so acute he could discern passwords from across the room, although it’s more likely a mirror or even more likely just lifted up the keyboard when nobody was looking and saw the piece of paper the person wrote the passwords on.
