In the USA, this practice was halted in the early 1980s.
Laws passed forbidding this practice.
Now it’s back under, “Targeted Marketing” but it’s just as illegal.

It might have been ignorance on the employer’s part but that’s simply a basic part of running a business with employees.

EEOC, OSHA, minimum wage, allowed hours, breaks — these are pretty basic stuff, none of it difficult.

Facebook allowing the companies to make illegal job postings is worth of a lawsuit. They try to claim they are not a “media company”, which is their way “out of this”, but they are.

I can see all of the excuses they’ll give already: new young hire for online media didn’t know EEOC (answer: put it through H.R before posting – they know) will probably be the #1 excuse.
