It’s not that language _makes_ the concepts.. but the concepts that are easiest to describe are based upon things we have words for.

It’s hard to avoid dualism in languages rooted in Western Civilization. The influence of Platonism/Aristotle who in turn were influenced by their OWN mother tongue is VERY VERY strong. There’s not much language that describes “oneness” type stuff without *having* to ‘contrast’ with an “other”.

So whenever ppl start talking monism, they sound like babbling idiots in English, Spanish, German, Russian, take your proto-indo-european pick [if you believe in such a thing as PIE].

Plato was just as shackled by his language as we are by ours, but I guess that’s going a bit far back in history I suppose. tongue emoticon
