It’s addictive once you get started. I can’t say I get everything in there but it’s awesome being able to ‘google my brain’ when I remember something I wrote once somewhere and don’t know where. I just remember a few words, search, and there it is, dated and everything. No context, just the words.
I’ve also subjected it to some analysis. Once I put 10,000 or so of them through an AI that classifies into Dewey Decimal, which gave me some insight into possible subject areas I’m interested in and in places that I’m lacking.
Even this comment here will be in it in a moment. Best part is, I don’t have to care about SEO as it’s for me really. Plus I’m hoping more advanced AI iwll pop up eventually that will allow for further and better analysis.
I also got 10,000 of my vines up on internet archive and had some fun with the hashtags by figuring out their metonyms, allowing an upwards generalizing of concept to see if there’s any further patterns to be found, and I found some.
It’s not that I think any of it is important for humanity or that someone will come along and make a Kenneth Udut chatbot or something. I just wanted ownership and permanence of my data output, rather than it being trapped in walled gardens like facebook or vine and such.
When I did the metonyms of the hashtags (it was a pain in the butt but I did it), I found some of the top ones interesting, as I think there’s _some_ clue there on how I think and prioritize “what’s important” to me. Still dont’ have a full explanation, but I love seeing “be” and “experience” next to each other like that.
