It’s necessarily imperfect even if created by a perfect being because they are not equivalent.

Thoughts? Not equivalent.
God created [x] in the image of God.
[x] is imperfect.

Two key things: Created. Image.

Does the image create the creator? No, because creator is not a property of image.

God [creator]
man [image]

The image is not the thing being imaged.

It’s necessarily imperfect even if created by a perfect being because they are not equivalent.

IF however, it was “God perfectly created the perfect COPY of the perfect God in the perfect IMAGE the perfect God perfectly created”, THEN you have be onto something.

But image of perfection is not perfection. It means the image-of.
