Oh nothing so drastic as that, Brett. I’ve defended myself many many times through the years, gone through the standard 20 questions where someone is trying to prove I’m really an “agnostic atheist” or an “agnostic theist”. I’ve had to justify my agnosticism to a number of people and groups through the years.
It’s just tiring. But I do it when asked but not until I throw a few potshots out there, hoping they’ll not want to bother.
To be honest, I don’t understand why people need to bother trying to prove Jesus didn’t exist. I don’t have a vested interest in Jesus existing – I just don’t understand the need for people to try to prove he didn’t.
I can’t say that the “Jesus is a hoax concept is invalid because it utilizes a conspiracy motif” because I’m not looking to support alternatives.
i can speak however of my bias against conspiracy motifs because they’re generally crackpot. That is my bias.
