It’s in your area of expertise here. I’m sure you’re right.
America’s so vastly different in our health care system that I genuinely can’t comprehend other nations’ systems. I feel as if I want one of the other more “put together” and well thought out systems than ours but I don’t know. Anytime we try to do anything useful it’s called socialized medicine and shut down.
People that NEED help have trouble getting in the USA. Maybe what y’all are going through is what the US might have to worry about IF we had a decently organized healthcare system.
But it’s so fragmented, we can’t have those kinds of problems here. Too chaotic and capitalist. I genuinely cannot comprehend other systems.
Funny thing is: I worked for a pharmceutical company once upon a time and we distributed worldwide. I handled the top-secret price sheets a few times after signing lots of papers.
Everybody else in the world might be paying 3/4/5 cents for the same stuff the USA pays $99 for.
No, I can’t comprehend other healthcare systems, truly. The closest we have is what the military get and they get crap. I wish we had those kinds of problem where ‘TOO MANY” could get care and they had to taper it back.

In short, it sounds like y’all are suffering from EXCESS SUCCESS.
We’re nothing close to that at all and will never be.
