it’s from a slide in my Buddhism class but she had us watch a 1977 documentary on Buddhism in Sri Lanka from the BBC and one monk they interviewed was talking about the same stuff. It was cool to see a slide I just saw coming out of a monk’s mouth 50 years ago.
