It’s changed for me through the years.
Inspired by multiple dimensions by Carl Sagan and Doctor Who as a kid, fractals by FRACTINT in 1989 and chaos and complexity theories and AI by 1990.
But the nature of interface itself as grown as an interest through the decades.
In the 90s it was the line between science and religious me. Mysticism line.
In the 00s it was the line between legal identity me and me (business).
In the 10s the line itself more and more in other manifestations.
Gaps, more online persona me vs me, meanwhile studying soaps and films and glue and friction.
Lately its biological reductionism from an experiential viewpoint.
So I am at a biological basis upon which all knowledge is built and all of our biases are formed including our notion of making lines between these things called concepts.
To what do I defer?
My narrative making brain which fights my iconoclast brain. The better narratives are emergent from the ongoing battle but slow and I go around strange attractors a lot first.
