It was! There was a niche period of time where nobody had local business directories online yet for my area. So I borrowed the new business listings as they were registered by the State and created pages for EVERYBODY. I didn’t ask permission; I would just take them down on request. This was picked up by Google, etc and I also created maps and tied things into FAcebook and stuff. Eventually, both Facebook and Google used my data for THEIR business directories — I knew because I put intentional misspellings in a number of them — but since i got it for free myself, I can’t complain if they took what I did too lol
