He was best buddies with the local “shock jock” from NYC that would come down and visit. “Bob Grant” who played a racist jerk on the radio but wasn’t that way in real life. Just a schtick he convinced everybody to believe. He invented hanging up on callers. I remember what he said about abortion: “They should have a vote, one vote, only women. None of us men. Whatever they decide, that’s it. That’s how it’ll be. It’s not for us men to decide for them”. Wise guy. He tried to give me the print shop to run it. I didn’t want it. Turned him down multiple times. Didn’t want to own it, run it, even sell it. He had daughters – it belonged to them to decide, not me.
