It may or may not surprise you to learn that I don’t want to be right. I’m going with the most dangerous possibility because being caught unprepared leads into situations.
In this angle, it appears that police are showing rioters the way in and how to get to places very politely and calmly.
Why? Speculation. Trials. It’ll all come out at some point. But for now, there’s 12 days between now and the inauguation. A Jan 17th coup date was widely discussed on all the networks and is what prompted the big Trump shut down and pulling parlor from the stores. Nobody wants THEIR service to be THE PLACE where a govt insurrection plan is discussed on.
That’s the thing. They were short on officers. It was known to be a big day and the overthrow of the capital building was openly discussed online for weeks.
DC mayor asked for help. Maryland state police had his men ready and waiting for the call.
I know and have heard all that already. That’s the public face. Thought it was just going to be a regular march towards the capital so we didn’t bring everybody in that day. Let them in because there wasn’t enough security there. In short, incompetent underestimation which is why Police chief is resigning.
All pretty believable and no need to go any further.
It’s precisely on the fringe websites that they meet and talk.
If nobody was watching outside of people like me and investigative journalists and NOT security officials, well, I’d be disappointed that I’m smarter than the rest of them because I’m not.
Why did ANTIFA and BLM stay home 100%?
Because THEY knew too and didn’t want to be caught up and blamed. Not a single Antifa. Not a single BLM. All 100% Trump people as far as can be seen by identification and behavior.
That’s how _I_ knew something like that was going to happen as I’m friends with a number of people in the other movements.
But I ASSUMED that security people would be on top of things as they usually are.
“On forum boards like TheDonald and antigovernment and militia movement group chats, those conversations included plans to surround the Capitol on all sides, alongside maps of the U.S. Capitol complex marked with locations of tunnels and entry points. “And there was discussion specifically of overwhelming police with large crowds and doing that in order to violate laws against carrying weapons and against entering federal buildings,” Holt says.”
What happened was absolutely no surprise except that security was barely there considering the 3-4 thousand expected to show up and did.
