Yes. I can’t answer with objectivity; I am studying my subjective self, using WHATEVER tools are available at hand.
What else can I be honest with?
I can’t speak for others. I can’t get in their heads can I?
But I *can* work on my own subjective self.
If I happen to trip over truths that *happen* to apply to others as well, then I’ve found a potential Universal.
That’s why I try to be careful when quoting history, quoting the past, quoting others, summarizing others for my own benefit. [to prove a point, to impress someone, to get them to like me or think I’m dank]
I strive for accuracy as much as I can with the knowledge I have, knowing at any moment what I thinks true *could* be swept aside because of an unturned assumption on my part.
Yet, my subjective self is something only I can speak for with authenticity. My questioning of self is for my own amusement; it’s my lifetime hobby.
It just so happens that getting an objective, accurate view of historical conceptual processes is a part of the unraveling of my subjective self understanding. A side benefit.
