In my lifetime, I’ve watched Senators get reelected many times and it is not a function of their qualifications in intelligence, reason, ability to research and be honest and candid, objective and willing to be wrong, but in how ever their local elections are run in their local area.

You’re likely the very first person I’ve have heard in my life refer to Murdoch as a lefty. Some publications have had to tone down their conservatism: WSJ in particular I’ve watched get more regular over time because it was losing readership when it was excessively biased.
NY Post, Sky News (Australia), The Sun, they’re tabloids masquerading as news.
Granted, it’s impossible to find ANY truly objective news sources, and there’s something distasteful to be found in any of them.
I used to respect RT for example but about 5-6 years ago they started to change and they unfortunately lost my respect. Doesn’t hurt them any of course.
