is the planet burned out or do you feel burned out? there seems to be something in the air but what is that? end times? new beginnings? holding breath so long one is getting used to turning blue? commonly, media overload is to blame. but it’s social. you don’t need any media. i’ve seen people leave Facebook thinking that was the problem. but it wasn’t. I turned off the TV in 2013 for the most part because I thought it was the problem. it helped A lot. but that wasn’t it. I have no idea what might be universal. children’s drawings: those appear to be nearly universal. only up to a certain point. The styles seven and up change depending on your culture. —- I start with “noticing my own reactions” as a reference point. i do brain dumps whenever possible that are usually background and don’t directly answer queries. I do this in verbal conversation where it’s awkward. I prefer online because it’s acceptable here. i meander. I follow the next brightest thought that comes to mind. I do this because when I try to force somebody else’s pathways onto my own, I fail. I succeed when I can meander at the pace that I’m comfortable in the directions that I find salient. interestingly enough, I’ve heard this is somewhat generational. “ give me a task. Then Leave me alone to figure it out in my own way” seems to be a generation X personality trait. it’s not that others don’t, but apparently it’s noticeable in our age range. i’ll find a reference. it was surprising to me.
