Up until 1984, the US med establishment believed that babies don’t feel pain until 9 months. It was an excuse ’cause they couldn’t get the anesthesia right tbh, but after 84, they changed their policy.
Since then, there’s been an anti-circumcision movement.
Myself? it’s a ridiculous procedure in most cases. Is it mutilation? Probably. But you don’t have much say in anything ’til you’re 18, so, whatever. Is what it is. Fight it if you like I suppose.
