is consciousness undecidable? we can look at it biologically for clues for example, we could work with the sensory system and neuological system and muscle system if we defined the sensory system resoponses as some kind of biomechanical and eliminate the more direct couplings of sensory system and neurological systems functioning, as well as eliminating neurological systems coupled strongly to muscle systems from a definition of consciousness, then we would only have to look for neurological parts that are the least coupled to sensory systems. they would “spin more freely” One strong candidate I think the pre-SMA motor planning it has very few if any connections to the muscular system you can compose entire piano pieces in there without moving a finger. it’s just a spur the moment sad because I’ve been trying to figure out where the music comes from when I play the piano and improvise pre-SMA is the main candidate for that. then again, the feeling of playing piano is otherworldly: the “muse” taking over sensation. that’s because the improv and play is happening around the 175ms- 300ms mark rather than the 400ms mark which it’s about the point you can ask yourself questions and answer them, or give judgements. but none of this answers consciousness. but I think it might be a place to look

is consciousness undecidable?
we can look at it biologically for clues
for example, we could work with the sensory system and neuological system and muscle system
if we defined the sensory system resoponses as some kind of biomechanical and eliminate the more direct couplings of sensory system and neurological systems functioning, as well as eliminating neurological systems coupled strongly to muscle systems from a definition of consciousness, then we would only have to look for neurological parts that are the least coupled to sensory systems.
they would “spin more freely”
One strong candidate I think the pre-SMA
motor planning
it has very few if any connections to the muscular system
you can compose entire piano pieces in there without moving a finger.
it’s just a spur the moment sad because I’ve been trying to figure out where the music comes from when I play the piano and improvise
pre-SMA is the main candidate for that.
then again, the feeling of playing piano is otherworldly: the “muse” taking over sensation.
that’s because the improv and play is happening around the 175ms- 300ms mark rather than the 400ms mark which it’s about the point you can ask yourself questions and answer them, or give judgements.
but none of this answers consciousness.
but I think it might be a place to look
