Intolerant tolerance does not equate to tolerant intolerance. They’re quite different.

Ah, but Deepak, it’s not mathematical.

The order of terms matters.

Intolerant tolerance does not equate to tolerant intolerance. They’re quite different.

If you are tolerant in an intolerant fashion is different from being intolerant in a tolerant fashion.

For example, you may decide ONLY tolerance is acceptable. That becomes intolerant tolerance.

Or you may decide that ONLY these things are acceptable but you are tolerant of those things you do not accept.

That is tolerant intolerance.

Oh gosh, I wasn’t talking about violence… I don’t think.

Rather, it is the intolerance of one who says, “I am intolerant towards intolerance because I am tolerant” vs the one who says, “I am tolerant of tolerance even within my intolerance”.
