indeed; i think my long tirade is my justification for the dark humor; for me it’s not so much laughing at the demise of actual people but rather at the whole media spectacle surrounding it (holding it in contrast to OTHER “horrors beyond human comprehension” that happen daily that my emotions are _not_ explicitly asked to have opinions of because it’s not presented to me in order to have an emotional response to)
and so when I did a google search two days ago for “soggy sub” hoping to find something funny, and I clipped this out finding it unreasonably hysterically funny, particularly the alliteration – even BEFORE I knew they’d already knew of their demise at the higher levels of Navy (which I learned about today)..
… I felt justified. There’s still the twinge of guilt and yet from within this socialmedia ecosystem, the mark on my soul is rubbed out perhaps just a little in that it is not a mockery of the actual human beings but of the show and I am but joining in and playing my part.
