ind to administer the systems.

It’s a trend I’ve noted with alternative business models, especially in the dot com era of the late 80s: innovative companies would work on a project successfully – even sometimes banding together with other small companies in a cooperative. They’d be successful and profitable – but just as they were about reach the “tipping point” (Thank you malcom gladwell) – a much larger entity would swallow …them up. If it was beneficial, each of the members would receive a handsome sum for disbanding, with a few techs to stay behind to administer the systems.”
