In theory (mine anyway), a good government allows for a wide range of acceptability.and for that, decent representation in an equitable or self-correcting structure can work.

My thing is, this doesn’t mean everybody will be happy. But there’s no reasonable reasoning that should result in anybody being outright miserable.
Concentrated power, however “Philosopher-King Just” it may seem to be, is dangerous.
A community is made up of members and any hierarchy that’s split into “us vs the masses” is not a good idea.
