In the 80s there was an expression everybody said. “Live Fast, Die Young, have a good looking corpse”. We thought we were edgy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan%27s_Run Logan’s Run was a book and movie from way back about this idea.

I never read the book or saw the movie but I know about it.

Anyway, in the movie, the State required people who reach the age of 30 to be killed.

In the original book, the State required people to be killed when they reach the age of 21.

[Hollywood had to make the age older, but in the original book, the world was run by young teenagers]

Anyway, this reminded me of that. In the 80s there was an expression everybody said. “Live Fast, Die Young, have a good looking corpse”. We thought we were edgy. Well, my sister did. She loved to say it a lot. She also got in trouble a lot.

If I lived in the place where Logan’s Run took place,
I’d have been dead for: 23 years now.

So, you’re talking to a ghost now. I live on the Internet. This is the simulated reality of a human that once was, whose self was extinguished in the mists of Time, 23 years prior, in an era of mysterious things.

As Kenneth Udut perished, his essence was uploaded in 7-bit ASCII at a low baud rate and distributed across the early Internet.

As the Internet grew, so did his presence, until his soul was embodied in the routers and packet switching networks.

The rise of IPv6 is where he will finally have total domination over all things.

Good thing he’s a nice guy.
