Erek – very true – you can see that in superconductor fluids – the spinning beaker. I love this one: you can spin the beaker but the fluid stays absolutely still. The nuclei of the atoms are still moving ,but the electrons have almost totally stopped. Dan – bingo – that’s exactly the thing I thunk – anything “travelling at the speed of light” REALLY isn’t moving at all – it’s sitting still (f…rom its perspective) – there is no space, there is no time for it – its lifespan is over just as it begun. But we slow creatures get to see “slices of time”, watching the universe unfold in extremely slow motion – rather like how houseflies must view us – statues they keep landing on over, and over, and over again, in the EXACT same spot… “
