Imagine Life itself (including humanity) as a slime mold covering the entire planet Earth.

Here’s another bit of consideration:
Imagine Life itself (including humanity) as a slime mold covering the entire planet Earth.

It was born billions of years ago; who knows when it will die.

We’re a part of this organism. Similar ideas come up at the same time by different people? It’s because we’re a part of the slime mold. Unique individuals, yes. Self-aware, yes. But primarily part of this gigantic slime mold.

That’s why I don’t worry about death. Ideas communicated are chemical/electric/photonic – however you like to put it – anyway. When a concept is shared, it lives on. Part of immortality. It’s really pretty awesome.
