I started saving compliments, specific and less-so alike, about three years ago. It’s weird; it keeps a connection in my mind to that person as time passes by.
Like if five years passes by, you change your identity in such a way that I have no way of knowing it’s you, and you say, “Remember the time I shared that Libertarian video with the flashing lights? The epilepsy?” – I’d remember you, all because I took a moment to snapshot a compliment that meant something for a moment five years prior.
I’m weird like that. People come and go, especially online, but I think it’s important to remember.

“Oh yeah, I remember: it’s when they had that thing called a social network. I think they called it Facebook – yeah, good times, good times. What did they call that 2D video service? IYoube? TTube? CTube? I don’t remember. Anyway, yeah I remember those times. Good thing about the bacteria though. It was about time they took over again.”
