I’m personally not big on symbolism; it creates these little fantasy worlds and sends people’s minds off into nutty directions much of the time. It’s an amazing human ability; to see a symbol and for them it holds a lot of significance; but it’s so often a world of trouble

We’ve talked about this before; we’re both libertarian but of different types; I’m left libertarian, you’re right libertarian. We share in common values of freedom over authoritarianism, but each value different moments where a heavier hand may be needed in a situation temporarily; very few libertarians are full-throttle libertarians encompassing left and right all the way

It’s just a tired meme. I’ve been hearing “the left can’t meme” for about 10 years now and I’m like, “ok, you don’t understand left memes” – this is been an ongoing thing I’ve had with different people for years and years.
What’s humorous and poignant is subjective; not all humor is a clownish “stab/twist/lol”.
