I’m not not looking for general population as a whole.
That’s what most folks are looking at. Sociologists, statisticians, trend-makers, politicians.
It’s important but it’s not my usual area of interest. But give me those who fall outside of the bell curves and that I find interesting.
=====
I live this. For example, I berate smart people who fall into statistically predictable behaviors when I notice it. Politics can really do that to a person but so can a number of things. I know they can do better.
=====
Thing is: I don’t think it does. I don’t think most people are instrumental rationalists. They do not find themselves in this paradox, as you pointed out.
Computer chips can. Some humans can.
====
But, I may be missing the point here. That’s one of my common patterns..
