I’m not into superhero stuff. As I kid, I related to Incredible Hulk because I’m a nerd with a lot of patience but the rare times it’s “too far”, I’m somebody else. Rare though thankfully.
But, I saw Wonder Woman. Loved it. So, Black Panther came out.
Interview with a lead actress sold me. She spoke of the attention to detail in the historical / social accuracy in envisioning Wakanda as if it really evolved as the story said. That’s all it took.
Near future tech? Loved it. Then I found out the lead actress went to the same college as me? Extra awesome,
Best part? Watching the impact this movie is having on fellow Americans who have had to deal with stereotypical potrayals for far too long, finally having a movie that is a) a good movie for everybody whila also being b) something significantly extra for those of African American heritage.
Hope you enjoyed the story and thank you for asking!
