I’m not going to convince you. Two years before Elon Musk got onto twitter, I wrote one of the earliest alternate UIs for Twitter, I called Twitter Submitter. I started it in late 2006 and finished it in Jan 2007. It worked for a few years until Twitter modified their API to API2 and retired API1. I never used Twitter the way he and most people seem to use it; I was onto other things by 2009 and really thought it would be dead by 2014. Shocked to see it come to life again not long after and even more surprised microblogging has maintained a presence in 2023. It clearly serves a useful need and that’s great. I mostly used it to dump links and stuff for SEO. I never used it for politics or debate or any of that stuff that became Twitter Culture. I watched and observed but I didn’t use it the way I was supposed to. That doesn’t answer your question. But I see him as a newbie even now, like the new guy bought the place and is changing it willy-nilly
