I’m just an ergonomics And safety freak.
The fact that people *do* have to adjust to the variety in consumerism doesn’t mean that It’s a good or best way
But this extends to a lot of products
For example, I’m aware of that planned obsolescence is simply a fact of our existence and how we get products and give products and make products Etc
But a lot of Industries really should have ceased existing a long time ago like certain drugs that were perfected in the fifties and certain household appliances that were perfected in the 30s
But as Industries they don’t want to die so they make weird little changes to justify their paychecks and we just have to deal with it whatever they are
You see, I’m a fan of the committee that sat around and tried to figure out what was the best font and type of English to use to write International emergency instructions in simplified English
And these are put on warnings stickers and airplanes and very high risk situations that require immediate comprehension
I wouldn’t want a world where you had Comic Sans font on an emergency exit
