I’m good with words generally, so I can apply lots of gold leafing onto the conceptionless.

Apophatic Theology suits me. I didn’t know it had a name until encountering Orthodoxy but it suited me. Lifetime fascination with gaps and the worlds behind them. The “Where does a hole go when it’s filled?” were the kinds of things I’d puzzle myself with as a kid and likely led to some of my interests in history, etymology, grammar, etc as an adult, as it gave some answers.

Yet, I knew those answers are gold-leafs placed on “absence of”.

I’m good with words generally, so I can apply lots of gold leafing onto the conceptionless.

Yet it’s always there. Never get the satisfaction that I imagine some people get when they have logic-as-the-basis-for-all-things, or the Mathematical Universe or “I believe it when I see it” or the religious faithful alike.

So I’m glad when people find their “its”. I’m working on my “close-enoughs”. But Apophatic is suitable for me.
