I’m building an ontology at present but I have no idea how it will end up. At present for Emergence, which you posit as belonging to “consciousness”, in my schema it seems to appear like this:

A metaphysical reductionism seems to lead to Emergence as does Intuition and Enactive cognition.
I also notice Systems thinking

Emergence leads to Cybernetics, complex systems theory, chaos theory, artificial intelligence, Evolution, Metaphysics of science, Metaphysics and philosophy of mind and:

Consciousness-matter dualism and Pattern formation.

Is it just a euphemism for consciousness? In my schema it is not for it has wide applicability outside of consciousness studies.

Emergence also seems to form the base of a group that includes social identities. This will form my current Emergence-group, subject to change.

Emergence as a group seems to be currently part of another group with “Life” as the base.
Evolutionary Computation + Emergence = Life.
I’m letting the graphs speak for me at the moment. I haven’t really thought deeply except “seems to fit” for my thinking at the moment.
Life, of which Emergence is a part of, forms part of a larger group with Persuasion at the base – much to my surprise.

Synchronicity, Research, Creativity
Imagination, Inductive Reasoning, Constructivism
Life, Psychology, Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, Metaphysical theories
Persuasion.
