But personally? I think Mamdani’s response to the garden, siding with DEVELOPERS to build low-income senior housing (as was planned to happen 12 years ago), was probably the turning point for Trump to be supportive. Trump’s father was a “low income real estate” developer (‘slum lord’) – and is how they made their riches. Mamdani is basically a developer at heart and I think Trump sees great NYC income opportunity from him. And – he’s probably right. Remember too: the “wealthy white zip codes” that Mamdani is going to add 2% tax to? It’s almost all wealthy white Democrat Cuomo (see 86 Democrats in above list) land mostly, with a small red area too.
