I’ll be the fall guy here. The reason why it was not a good thing for TUCKER CARLSON to interview Putin is _because_ it was Putin public relations.
_That’s_ why people were calling it treasonous.
He’s had a very clear pro-Russian, pro-Putin slant for some time. His interview with Orban made that very clear.
It is precisely his bias that made it bad. It’s an error to ascribe to him the motives of an objective journalist because he did not go there like that and was not like that. This is the difference.

additionally, there was no real reason to interview him about his perspective on the war because he made all of his war stuff very clear already.
Has anything new come out from it? If not, there was no point to it that wasn’t PR for Putin.
The only reason to interview Putin would be about the journalists or other issues perhaps but not about Russian/Ukraine.
