If you think it is solely genetics and nothing environmental / social, I challenge you to create an image of yourself as “opposite” and notice if you see yourself differently or how it feels when others comment.

How much of who you are comes from within you and how much of who you are comes from how others treat you? It’s a classic question for good reason.

You make a good point. In gender dysphoria, the mismatch between how you feel about yourself vs what you see in the mirror and/or how you are treated is so powerful that the best thing for a cure is often ransitioning.
Still, it is a bit of a chicken vs egg situation. I don’t think it’s solely one or the other but there’s some kind of negotiation of meaning taking place, I think.
