I’d maybe have watched it but i didn’t follow the hype before it. I didn’t know enough about the fighters to get enthusiastic yet and I only ever found boxing fun when watching with others in the same room. But when I did watch boxing, I liked the lighter weight fighters over the heavy weight ones. They were spry, fast. No huge one punch knock outs but lots and lots of movement and endurance. I found heavyweight boring because it was two muscular guys. One punch, knockout. Over. What’s the fun in that? Welterweight I think was the class I’d watch sometimes. Ok, I guess I did watch it by myself for a time. HBO had free boxing once and yeah, I got into it for a while. Hm. I’d probably have enjoyed this. Ah well. Maybe next time there’s something going on if it’s free.

I thought boxing was dead long ago tbh. Hadn’t heard anything much about it since Mike Tyson days. That goes WAY back.

As soon as I saw “cage fighting” becoming a thing, I knew boxing was over with.
