Qigong was the closest I got to Tai chi but I know you’re not talking about the calisthenics practice but the notions underlying its practice.

yeah, I’m not much for repetition either. I try to do an impossible thing daily (well, improbable for me), or at least surprise myself in a good way.
I have a hard time looking back and redoing what I did already. I like new combinations or new things – that little bit of surprise of “hey, that’s cool”. Maybe it’s indulgent but it’s a kind of growth that I like when it’s in the creative growth area rather than bulk/accumulative growth… although I do that too
