I was typing up a long answer but this image is nice. It shows how yes, there’s overlap between Epistemology and Metaphysics – but an important component of Metaphysics which is NOT a part of Epistemology, is ONTOLOGY; “What Is There?” like objects, “stuff”, classification of stuff, naming of stuff, etc. So if you see the difference between Epistemology and Ontology, it’ll get you some sense of the difference between metaphysics and epistemology.

It took me about a YEAR of hanging around Philosophy groups online before I FINALLY got a ‘sense’ of the difference between Epistemology and Ontology; I still stink at explaining it but I get a feel for when someone is talking about one or the other.

It’s a clear and easy difference for a lot of people but I’d struggled with it.
