I was thinking in terms of how it has resulted in a lot of people deciding the villain was the “real” good guy all along, a misunderstood good guy and that those who want to eradicate him are the true villains. In bits and pieces, and in real life that’s VERY OFTEN true, that’s fine but there has definitely been a lot of Joker worship over the last few years, which is what I had in mind — not that Batman is anybody to want to emulate (billionaire playboy fights crime for fun with campy villains that wreck the city) – and so I was thinking of that, more than the “we should destroy” part, which is a part I do not agree with and turned out to be the focus that I ‘missed”.
