I was running a Minecraft Server at the time for my ne – 2012-2014 – and it got a lot of members, some of them were obsessed by Hunger Games. It was also a common meme on Vine, to put the fingers up and salute and so over time I picked up most of the story – and one day I asked two particular enthusiasts who were BEGGING me to watch or at least read it, to tell me the story – in Minecraft chat – while I saw at the server console as the voice of ServerGod. I usually didn’t interact with them much as it was for my ne but I’d gotten the quiet legendary status by then and sometimes I’d pop in from console and get the “oohs, ahhs” from people playing. It was fun.
