I was raised Methodist and never saw any contradiction between God and evolution for example. I spent some time in the Russian Orthodox church as well, as an adult. When it came to these kinds of philosophical arguments though? I stayed far away from them. Even now, I just settle with: a star went super-nova, collided into a giant molecular gas cloud and under gravity, formed all the elements of all the nearby stars and our solar system and us. So I’m glad for that. But for the moment of creation stuff? eh.
