I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby. Had special therapy as a young child. I was able to attend regular school without much of anything visible.
My mother’s friend said to her, “See, you wasted all that time and money on special therapy for Kenny. He’s fine.”

f you can see what was wrong with what she said, you can see why believing the lockdowns were a waste while also seeing lower rates is ridiculous.

It’s like getting a having a physician set a broken bone and saying, “Look, the body healed itself”. Wasted your money at the doctor’s.

Technically, a doctor doesn’t actually heal anything. He just sets the bone. So if a doctor sets a bone and it heals, do you then say “You wasted your money going to a doctor – look, your leg healed itself. It’s fine”.
You can, just like you can say the lockdowns were a waste and didn’t do anything.
