I’m grateful to be here but my mother had gone through some medical emergencies during her pregnancy and I shouldn’t really be here.
I’m grateful that a brand new neonatal Center was built and ready 3 months before I was born.
I’m grateful that the nurses bucked the trend of formula at that time and had a voluntary breastfeeding donation service get me breast milk because it turns out that preterm babies do need the extra, although full term it doesn’t make much difference.
I am grateful to be here. I’m thankful on a daily basis and I express it in my own ways.
However
I would not have held it against anything or anybody if I had been miscarried due to a different Medical Care System or if I was aborted to save my mother’s life or other reasons
I speak for all of those who would gladly give up the chance to live to instead have the woman who could have given birth instead lead a better existence without.
