I think they’re a part of the fabric that makes up this crazy conflicted America. I wouldn’t want everybody to think like me. That said… a few upgrades are due and maybe a bit of patience too. and a few knock down comment battles. and… I wouldn’t want to grow up in those areas. They seem to be overly sheltered from the realities of the world and respond in fear/anger to so much.

I loved Oh, God. Speaking of John Denver, there’s a new game coming out that features one of his songs. I’m not a gamer but I try to watch culture.

Ne showed it to me. It’s a post nuclear 1950s with robots. It’s not John Denver singing but hearing “Take me home, country roads” was nice.

Plus, unlike other post nuclear games, *this* one is about rebuilding America and has hope.

Good to see hope,

Bit by bit the onslaught of the internet is helping. It’s a culture clash and it goes both ways but ,what’s the stronger of the two ultimately? Well, that’s what you have to decide but I have my decision.

In an environment like Roblox, which is late elementary/ middle school, I expect that sort of stuff. I had “truly tasteless jokes” book and they get to roleplay whatever.

Even teenagers, I expect a level of “not holding back” aggression and raunchy humor, each one topping the next.

But… when it’s adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s, STILL doing it… that’s when it’s kind of sad to me.
