I think there’s definitely a relationship. Number theory is primarily regarding the study of positive integers. Information theory is “quantification, storage and communication of information” (Wikipedia’s short definition is as good as any for this).
Generally information theory is positive quantities if I’m not mistaken. If not, then certainly “what’s computable”. Once you get past Peano, I think both number theory and information theory are second-order, aren’t they? That might be what they have in common?
Trump’s been running a wrestling-match information campaign. I think anybody that might want to start revolutions on the left see through it and aren’t buying it. Had he lost, there might be civil-war/revolution but since the disgruntled won, well, there’s not much to do but sit back and let him do his thing.
Oh, he’s not good at it. That’s the problem. If he was good at it, he wouldn’t be in the news daily. They should be passing legislation that barely gets noticed that changes things without people realizing it, like what normally happens.
No, what I see is naked politics. the stuff that’s usually hidden is naked and exposed… and it’s kind of embarrassing.
Or, more personally, *I* shouldn’t care about politics. I never care about politics much besides voting. But now I do. I shouldn’t.
I’d like to believe he had a “greater-plan” than the obvious. Maybe you’re right. That’d be nice.
Oh it’s only been, what, 120 days? Obama was there 8 years, which is like over 2000 days. 120 days vs 2000 days. Don’t worry – I’m sure Trump will surpass Obama in that dept soon enough.
two fronts I see growing: the younger socialist front (not the idiots in The Gap black sweaters but the masses of idealists) and the independent-minded constitutionalists / liberterians. Trump + co are too daddy-authoritarian for either of their likings.
