I think one of our methodological flaws comes from the origins of statistical theory; bolzman (bolzmen?) closed system. Statistics are an everyday part of things but they’re closed systems; but the universe is not thermodynamically closed; it never was; we just pretend it is for lab experiments and then we’re surprised when such assumptions are violated.
