I think normal is some vague template invented by elementary school mean girls (and teachers and other adults concerned with a vague status quo they don’t even understand) to slice away “undesireables” and “normal” is what’s left over, subject to further trimming.

They may not fully define who belongs inside, but they’ll always define who belongs outside.

  • I’ve never been a Team Player. I go along with a team if I must and I’m ok with it as long as it suits me, but the pressure is on in the wrong places, I’m soap on the prison floor.

[wow, that was usually crude of me But yeah, it sums up my feelings about groups that don’t play nice. They can go ahead and … do whatever the likely-to-be-false-stereotypical-joke-of-prison-life says happens next]

I’d much prefer no group, or at least more nebulous groups. The hard lines are useful in _some_ GO/NO-GO circumstances… but I think it’s a metric too commonly applied.
