I think having something bigger than you helps you know where you are.
Big piece of graph paper and where’s my dot?
But more than that, who can see/know/be within that big piece of graph paper?
Will that paper work with me and I with it? Maybe I can be more than a dot, or a dot on a piece of paper. Maybe I can be part of the paper and affect other dots.
I look at this every few months by sharing it when it’s appropriate to a conversation online.
It’s real, so it’s not just a drawing but a set of satelitte photos stitched together nicely that I got from USGS 4-5 yrs ago.
So, that’s one way I do higher power. In a very real way, this photo was taken from a higher perspective and I gain the higher perspective it has and can look down upon myself from its perspective.
Abstract that to what you’re talking about and I think it also fits.
I’ll never be in space to take that picture. But with this, I sorta am.
I also know it will go to many other computers and into other minds who see this.
Imagining the connections between all of those brains and my own in this actual place and time I’m in, helps keep grounded in a position from which I can then engage in deeper and larger scope things.
Integration does not need “WYD?” photos.
Integration does not need this internet. It may be what I’m using. But I can also use a book that can inspire my mind to consider greater things, other kinds of networks and network connections.
Am I connected via networks through history?
What paths do that network take?
What about mythology, spirituality and religion?
They connect me, via stories I can relate to and those I can only imagine, to everybody else throughout history who was ALSO inspired by such stories, and I become part of their futures just as they are part of my new interconnected past.
What do you need? I don’t know.
What does America need? I don’t know.
What does the world today need? I don’t know.
What’s good for humanity? I don’t know.
But I have my limited experiences and notions, so that’s why I use so much “I”.
