I take science education seriously, and I don’t mind a little fun explorations into the unknown for bedtime stories and imagination.

It’s all neat stuff mind you. I ate this stuff up when i was on a steady diet of the Science channel a few years ago (which I stopped watching 2.5 yrs ago after hearing Neil deGrasse Tyson making this HUGE historical blunder about Galileo that I just couldn’t stomach. I was like, “Dude! Basic history!” – implying that he was burned at the stake. Total history mismosh. Where’s your fact checkers? Ugh.

I wouldn’t have cared but it was in one of those “Did you know?” blurbs, not a live interview. Couldn’t forgive it. Between that and the Hawking “proof against God” thing I was done for the moment. Still raging a bit? Yeah, I am. I take science education seriously, and I don’t mind a little fun explorations into the unknown for bedtime stories and imagination… but wrecking history and trying to go after God on the science channel? Not cool. I’m agnostic but I don’t think it’s the right kind of stuff to be called “Science”.
